Upon enrollment, students receive a central personal user ID for logging into all relevant workplace and web-based systems, beamer PCs in the lecture halls, in the student pools and the user PC in the university library.

The CampusCard is the student ID card in credit card format. It is based on the canteen card of the Studierendenwerk. You create the CampusCard yourself at the card issuing machine using a QR code. The QR code will be sent to students by e-mail before the start of your studies. In order to be able to print the CampusCard and validate it correctly at the same time, it is a prerequisite that the semester fee has already been transferred and the financial status in S.A.M. is displayed with the feature “paid”. Please check the financial status in advance in the S.A.M. Portal  menu item “My studies” > “Financial status”) before printing the card. The CampusCard is a student ID, semester ticket, canteen card and library card at the same time.

The WLAN connection at the HWR Berlin is implemented via the Education Roaming (eduroam) service of the German Research Network (DFN).

Upon enrollment, students receive a personal university-related e-mail address with webmail access for communication with the university during their studies. This email address in the domain is stored in the campus and learning management systems.

S.A.M. (Study Administration Management) is the new digital campus management system of the HWR Berlin. Here you will find all information about your studies (e.g. grades, exam registrations, enrollment in courses).

Moodle is the central learning management system at the HWR Berlin. Here you will find the digital image of your enrollments, have access to digitized courses and can also take advantage of self-study offers or access information offers from the HWR service units.

At the HWR Berlin, most courses are now being supplemented with digital teaching content, digital teaching and learning phases and digital examinations. The e-learning center supports both teachers and students by providing web-based teaching and learning environments and training/consulting and tutorials.

The HWR Berlin offers its students a comprehensive library service (lending, reading rooms, workspaces, digital inventory).
