IT services currently not fully available

Dear students, lecturers and administrative staff,

due to a technical issue with the air conditioning system of the central university IT infrastructure the technology must be protected from the extreme heat in order to avoid further technical issues and the loss of warranty coverage.

Therefore the IT department, in agreement with the chancellor Ms. Syring and the president Mr. Zaby, has been forced to switch off most of the central IT services and to shut down the hardware since 19.06.2022 08:00 a.m..

For now, following systems are still available:

• E-mail communication for administration, lecturers and students
• Moodle
• HWR website
• MS Teams
• Telephone system

Classroom teaching is not affected. Examinations will take place as scheduled, in presence and online format.
